Working in an integrated way with OEE and LEAN production has always been part of the company's DNA. When they began using Good Solutions' platform, TitanX was able to take the next step on the journey toward manufacturing excellence.
The problem
When production losses needed to become visible
A manufacturer like TitanX, with a long history and deep technical expertise, must constantly meet new manufacturing requirements.
In the pursuit of becoming more efficient, there is a need to continuously identify production losses in availability, plant utilization, and quality.
Fifteen years ago, TitanX used manual methods to categorize production losses, but this made both measuring and tracking OEE complex, time-consuming, and highly prone to error.
Processes, methods, and mindsets were in place, but TitanX wanted to take the next step.
The solution
From manual processes to data-driven improvement work
With the introduction of Good Solutions' platform, TitanX was able to get significantly closer to its business goals. In combination with integration with the business system, the solution made it possible for TitanX to quickly identify production losses, ensure they were reduced, and that the results were sustained over time.
With the help of Good Solutions, decision-makers at all levels now have access to production data in real time. At the same time, operators easily log losses, and the system displays production status in real time on TV screens throughout the factory. Standardized reports and data export create a fact-based foundation for production meetings, shift handovers, and informed decision-making.
In addition, Good Solutions' platform streamlined TitanX's transition from manual to digital processes, freeing up a great deal of time and resources. Decision-makers can now systematically manage losses based on qualitative production data, making it possible to work efficiently and predictably to find, understand, and reduce the losses.
The result
Increased productivity by 19%, more stable processes and better quality
An example is that during the autumn of 2023, TitanX was able to increase the net production of one production line by 19% by using production data from Good Solutions in combination with systematic LEAN and PDCA work.
The platform’s easy-to-use interface has increased operators’ commitment to reducing losses and increasing productivity.
TitanX created action plans for continuous improvement by integrating data from the Good Solutions platform into the PDCA cycle.
This makes it possible to easily identify and address inefficiencies, ensure quality, reduce losses and maintain stable processes, which contributes significantly to TitanX’s work on sustainability and quality.
