Workshop & Machining

Since its start in 1956, Willo has grown every year. The factory specializes in small precision components of high quality. Its customers are in MedTech, energy and industry. At the factory in Växjö, the operators work with around sixty CNC machines. Several of the machines are specialized in handling sensitive materials that must not be contaminated.
Willo's goals are clear. The company wants to create increased growth, strengthen competitiveness, reduce resource consumption per produced unit, reduce environmental impact and increase profitability.
The problem
Willo needed the right digital foundation to take the next step in its development
An operation with Willo's history knows that it must continue to develop, strengthen its competitiveness and maintain a leading position in its segment. That is why the company saw the value in digitalizing the factory several years ago. The Industry 4.0 idea was clear, and Willo understood the potential that existed.
After testing several concepts, methods and suppliers, the company realized that it needed to think differently and start at the right end. By joining Produktionslyftet, Willo was able to strengthen its internal process development work and at the same time build competence in daily management, operator-driven improvement work and efficient flows.
Once that foundation was in place, Willo could take the next step and combine processes and company culture with the right digital solution.

The solution
A close collaboration gave Willo the right platform and the right path forward
“We came across Good Solutions through an interesting post on LinkedIn. It prompted us to take action and contact them to learn more. From the very first contact, we had great confidence in their understanding of the business and their extensive experience helping other factories succeed with digitalisation and efficiency improvements. Our goal is to become a little better every day than the day before,” says Blazenka Mihalic, production manager at Willo.
Good Solutions' experts worked closely with Willo's production management throughout the process. Together, they ensured that the software met Willo's needs, that the factory received the right value, and that the change could be introduced effectively.
The work quickly made it clear that Good Solutions' platform is one of the most important components in securing Willo's future plans.
Good Solutions' platform provides machine operators with the information they need to meet the factory's targets.

The result
In just six weeks, half the factory was up and running with the platform
After testing Good Solutions' platform, it became clear to Willo's production management that the solution was needed across the entire factory as soon as possible.
Thanks to close collaboration between Willo and Good Solutions' experts, the platform could be rolled out quickly. In just six weeks, half the factory had been trained and was up and running. After a short break, the platform was introduced to the other half at the same speed.
“Now we have a solid foundation from which to accelerate our growth. When we combine our fantastic team spirit at Willo with the right technical support and the right decision-making data, we can make better, more fact-based decisions, faster and with greater transparency. “Now we share a common understanding of how the factory is performing, both in production management, among the operators at the machines and in the company’s management,” concludes production manager Henrik Wolf.
