Good Solutions' web platform is a Manufacturing Improvement Platform (MIP). It is a broader tool for the factory's daily management and improvement work, with a powerful OEE system as part of the whole.

The web platform supports the entire chain from automatic collection of OEE and losses to digital boards for daily management and assigned actions. There are also functions for root cause analysis, improvement projects, and follow-up on standardized work, allowing improvements to be implemented and spread throughout the organization.

For you as a factory manager or production manager, the difference is about moving from measuring losses to addressing them in a lasting way.

Good Solutions helps employees in different roles to work in a structured and data-driven way with continuous improvements. You can follow up on the results in both productivity and financial metrics.

What is RS Production?

RS Production is a proven platform used by thousands of users in hundreds of factories. It has been developed since 2005. The server runs in the cloud. Operators and production management work in installed clients on Windows computers.

In RS Production, you monitor production, register stoppage reasons, and analyze losses. The information is displayed in real-time on screens in the factory, used in pulse meetings, and is available in the product's reporting and analysis tools.

The tools are divided by task:

Operator tools is used at the machine on a Windows computer, usually with a touchscreen. The operator starts and stops runs, codes stoppages, registers scrap and rework, and completes checklists and checks that are automatically displayed at the right time. The operator can also call for help with Andon and follow how production is performing against the goals during the day. Operator tools involve the operator and provide a clear picture of the outcome against what is expected. The tool can also report back times and quantities for orders to the ERP system.

Office tools is used for reports, analyses, and configuration on a Windows computer with a keyboard and mouse.

Info Screens show the production status on screens in the factory. Users build the screen views themselves without writing code. The views are assembled from visual components with the information you want to display in production, at pulse meetings, and at management meetings.

RS Production Mobile shows OEE, stoppages, order status, scrap, and cycle times in a mobile app.

RS Production consists of several products and add-ons: OEE, ACT for forms and documents, Energy for energy follow-up, and Screens for real-time visualization and meetings. Andon is used for internal communication and as an integration API for ERP connection. SSO and multisite are also available as add-ons.

What is Good Solutions web platform?

Good Solutions web platform is a Manufacturing Improvement Platform (MIP). It is built from the ground up for continuous production improvements, not just as an OEE system with software add-ons. The platform supports the work from detecting losses and understanding the causes to implementing actions and following up on results. The tools are adapted to the roles and working methods in a manufacturing company.

Automatic measurement data. Machine connectivity via OPC UA, MQTT, or an RS-IoT box provides real-time data on production, OEE, energy consumption, and losses.

Daily management. Digital meeting boards and action lists help teams and management at different levels monitor the status and allocate time and resources where they do the most good.

Analysis and improvement projects. Tools for root cause analysis and improvement projects show what an improvement can deliver in financial value, produced quantity, and uptime. They support engineers and improvement leaders through the PDCA work, from analysis to implementation, follow-up, and dissemination of the improvement.

Standardized work. Operator support helps employees follow agreed-upon working methods. This can include quality checks, operator maintenance, changeover instructions, 5S, or root cause analyses. Version-controlled forms provide traceability. Messages and push notifications make the operators' needs visible to engineering, quality, logistics, and management.

Good Solutions Manufacturing Improvement Platform is offered in different parts and modules. Each company can start where the benefit is greatest.

Employees log in via the web browser on a computer, tablet, or mobile. The web client requires no local installations or updates.

The operator receives tasks and instructions on the screen at the machine. The production supervisor monitors the shift and sees deviations in real-time. Production management gets an overview of where there is a risk of not meeting goals.

The improvement leader receives data and tools to motivate, implement, and follow up on improvements. As a factory manager, you can follow losses and results over time before making decisions on investments and changes. The platform also provides a fact-based foundation for capacity planning a few months ahead.

Easier to work on improvements. The web platform gathers data, analyses, and actions in one tool. This lowers the barrier to getting started and driving improvements that increase productivity.

Access without client installation. For RS Production, you need to install software on Windows computers. On the web platform, a web browser and a login are enough. You can, for example, use a tablet at the line or display a dashboard on a smart TV.

Share insights with others. The web platform's dashboards and reports can be shared as links with other users. The recipient clicks the link to open the view. This option is not available in RS Production.

What is the same in both systems?

Both platforms contain OEE tracking and loss analysis. Machine data is collected automatically, and operators supplement this with the reasons for the stoppages.

OEE is calculated as availability × performance × quality. Machine signals show when production stops, but do not always explain why. Operator registration is needed to distinguish between, for example, machine failure, material shortage, waiting, and staffing issues.

Both platforms run in the cloud and do not require their own servers for system operations in the factory. Local equipment or an Edge Service may be needed to connect the machine.

Regardless of the platform, you need to decide who follows up on losses, what actions should be implemented, and how results are verified. Use the data in shift handovers, pulse meetings, and improvement meetings.

What does the web platform mean for you who lead production?

You can lead daily meetings and improvement work in a tool that is accessible on your phone or tablet, both in the factory and outside.

Losses, improvement potential, and results can be expressed in produced quantity and financial values. This makes it easier to assess the benefit than if the data only shows machine time or OEE percentage.

You also get data to understand trends and changes that affect capacity and costs.

When more parts of the follow-up and improvement work are in the same place, you don't need to gather as much data from different tools. It becomes easier to involve maintenance, quality, and planning in decisions.

Easier to share data. Maintenance technicians, quality managers, planners, and management can log in via the web browser. You do not need to install client software on each user's computer.

Less local administration. There are no client programs that users need to install or update. Machine connectivity, however, needs to be planned. An optional IoT box is connected to 230 V, configured via smartphone, and communicates via the mobile network. For integration with local systems and machine data via OPC UA or MQTT, a local Edge Service is used.

Continuous development. Good Solutions develops new features for the web platform. With an upgrade, you get access to continued development based on the modules and options you use.

It is easy to switch to the web platform

It is easy to upgrade from RS Production to Good Solutions web platform. All data from RS Production is transferred, so you retain your history and can continue monitoring production. Good Solutions helps you through the transition and getting started in the new views.

Take the opportunity to simplify daily work

Reports. Which ones do you use in production meetings and follow-ups? See if any can be simplified, merged, or replaced by a dashboard.

Data collection. Are there details being registered manually unnecessarily or collected without being used? The transition is a great opportunity to see if collection can be simplified.

Stoppage reasons. Is it easy for operators to choose the right reason? See if similar codes can be merged, and if items ending up under "Other" need clearer alternatives.

You do not need to change your way of working to upgrade. But if you want to simplify something, the upgrade is a good opportunity to do it together with Good Solutions.

How does Good Solutions help during the upgrade?

Your Customer Success Manager and Good Solutions delivery consultants help you plan the switch, transfer all data, and get started. They also assist if you want to review reports, data collection, or stoppage reasons in connection with the upgrade.

At SCA's sawmill in Bollsta, production manager Joakim Norlander set up the tablets and logged into the web application. The operators then started working directly in the platform. “That is user-friendliness!”, as he expressed it.

Good Solutions has Swedish support and has been ISO 27001-certified since April 2026.
